Bio
A Rutgers University alumnus and New Jersey native, Joe Litterio has been involved in college athletics for over three decades. Following his playing career, he began his coaching journey as a volunteer coach at Rutgers University and has remained deeply involved in NCAA athletics ever since.
Over the course of his career, Coach Litterio has coached in six different conferences, most recently in the BIG TEN. He has spent much of his time recruiting top talent across the country, developing a deep understanding of what it truly takes to compete — and more importantly, what is required to reach — the next level.
Academics have always been a cornerstone of his programs. While at Rutgers, his team earned national recognition for Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores, placing in the top 10 percent of college baseball for academic achievement. During his tenure, 43 student-athletes earned Academic All-Big Ten honors, with nine recognized as Big Ten Distinguished Scholars for maintaining a GPA of 3.7 or higher.
Through decades in NCAA athletics, he has built strong relationships with coaches, administrators, and recruiting coordinators nationwide. His experience on the inside of the NCAA recruitment process makes him uniquely qualified to guide student-athletes and families through every stage of the journey.
